Nothing Says Relaxation Like a Weekend Trip to Four Seasons

Do you know the time of year when you’d like to travel the world but not the place you currently reside? It’s any day of the year when the sun doesn’t shine. For me, it was a blessing (and you! ). A request to go out and explore everything in Fort Lauderdale came across my desk (re the inbox) on a stormy, sad NYC day. I immediately replied Y-E-S.

I’m not sure if it’s because the Sunshine State’s biggest and most well-known city, Miami, is just a few miles away (just under one hour); however, I have to admit, I’ve never considered a trip within Fort Lauderdale before this invitation. Let me offer an idea of what to expect: Fort Lauderdale is the ideal destination for anyone visiting Florida. It’s everything from the clear beaches and unique eateries to the gorgeous palm trees and endless blue-sky skies; I can’t think of a better place to make if you need some vitamin D.

As I gathered the scoop about the best activities and sights to see in Fort Lauderdale, I’ve put together this guide to the city of sunshine especially for you. It doesn’t matter if you’re looking for a leisurely trip with your spouse or BFFs or an adventure. Here are some suggestions on what to do as well as do when you visit Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale

Listen, I don’t believe you’ll require much convincing to book a room at any Four Seasons hotel, BUT in the event you do…here we take a look! First of all, this hotel is located on the beach. The beach isn’t right there or even close to the shore; however, it is just a few steps away from the ocean. It means that wherever you stay in the resort, you’ll be able to hear the ocean’s waves. Score! In addition, the style of this property is different from any other hotel I’ve seen before. I’m talking lush tropical vegetation tra, traditional yacht club energy, and more. And lastly, the rooms. THE ROOMS. They’re huge, tidy and so relaxing.

My girlfriend (hi, Zack!!) and I were staying in the Prime Ocean View Suite was *chef kiss. We had huge bathtubs that were ideal to unwind after a tiring day at the beach, but we also could have not just one but two balconies that overlooked the ocean. A tip for you: order room service for breakfast and then enjoy it on the terrace. It was a great breakfast to kick off our mornings. I’m not a tub-lover. Don’t fret! Shower heads with waterfalls, and Le Labo products made me feel like a spa shower. 10/10. I highly recommend it. In essence, I’ll be thinking about this suite throughout my life.

However, this is a different kind of hotel where you’re likely to be able to spend all your time in your bedroom. It’s not the case because the Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale staff took the time to consider every aspect and created an area you can enjoy outside your rooms. I particularly wantedoga classes in the morning in the sun deck every day. It was a simple (and cost-free!) method to get to the correct side of the…yoga mat. This gym also comes fitted with the latest fitness technology, so you’ll have suitable exercise if that’s your style.

There’s also the lobby that gives the nautical look most stylishly. The ceilings are 20+ feet high, so you’re talking about up! Scale! However, one of my favorite aspects of this propertyis the vast outdoor spaces. In addition to the sun deck, which had two pools, there were numerous spots around the lobby and restaurants where you could sit and enjoy a glass of wine while enjoying the sun. It was so peaceful. It was exactly what my tired NYC attitude needed.
